Position: Marine Engineer/ Marine Technician (2)
He reports to the Fleet Manager.
He should have the ability to diagnose engineering problems.
He will be expected to design, operate, maintain, and repair the mechanical systems of the companies vessels. He should have working knowledge of equipment such as pumps, engines, gears, heaters, deck machinery including estimating the cost of the equipment needed, equipment installation, lubrication etc.
He should have working knowledge of vessel repair and dry dock management processes.
He should be able to:
- Inspect marine equipment and machinery to draw up work requests and job specifications.
- Review work requests and compare them with previous work completed on vessel to ensure costs are economically sound.
- Maintain contact and formulates reports for contractors and clients to ensure completion of work at minimum cost.
- Coordinates activities with those of regulatory bodies to ensure repairs and alterations are at minimum cost, consistent with safety.
- Procures materials needed to repair marine equipment and machinery.
He should be able to prepare / write technical reports and manuals for other engineers, members of a ship's crew, & management.
He should be able to work for long hours with little or no supervision and may be required to work in other locations outside Lagos – on shore or off shore.
He is expected to demonstrate a good knowledge of HSE principles, the ISPS code, SOLAS, etc.
Basic Qualifications
B.Sc / B.Tech / HND Mechanical Engineering with 3-4 years experience in marine and diesel engines. STCW ’95 compulsory.

Candidates must have a university

have leadership skills, be self-starters and have a broad-based integrated
Geology and Geophysics background with good understanding of Niger Delta
geology and have the drive to add value to an upstream business.
Petroleum Engineer Team Leader
Candidates must have a university
degree in Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or closely related
discipline with a minimum of ten years relevant experience in an oil producing
environment (operating companies preferred). Candidates who must be creative,
have leadership skills and be self-starters must have a broad-based petroleum
engineering experience covering production and reservoir engineering. Candidates
with experience in reservoir modeling and/or Field Operations will be
preferred.
Senior Reservoir Engineer
Candidates must have a university
degree in Mechanical, Petroleum or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of eight
years relevant experience in reservoir engineering in a reputable oil producing
company in addition, candidates must have excellent mastery of reservoir
engineering principles and fundamentals and be able to conduct full field
reservoir studies independently, work with minimal supervision and be able to
mentor less experienced engineers.
